College of Business and Economics
“The College of Business and Economics, founded in 1980, originally featured a Department of Economics, Department of Business Administration, Department of Trade, and Department of Accounting. Since then, the college has continued to innovate, focusing on the Department of Economics and the Department of Business Administration, and is utilizing a perfectly optimized curriculum and innovative means of teaching for each major under the leadership of an excellent faculty with extensive experience in both research and education. The college’s goal is to train students with practical and creative problem-solving skills, strategic thinking skills, communication skills, cooperation, empathy, and a keen sense of international affairs.
Moreover, the college offers a balanced curriculum of subjects that teach not only foundational knowledge in the realm of business and economics, but also insights that help solve real problems in corporations and society.
In particular, the college features Industry-Coupled Problem-Based Learning (IC-PBL) programs in which students take charge of their own learning - they study in teams and in connection with companies - and a Capstone Design where students dedicate themselves to more in-depth research on tasks they set for themselves.
The college is creating a learning environment with ties to the world outside Korea with international students from various countries around the world. To that end, it has an English-only track that allows students to graduate just by taking courses delivered in English.
Through these efforts, the college has enjoyed some remarkable success, including an international certification that recognizes the college as a world-class institution for business education.”
