Although the College of Pharmacy has a relatively short history of only a decade since its opening, it has grown into one of the two major axes, the other being the Hanyang University Medical School, of pharmaceutical education and research at Hanyang University.
The college has established itself as a prestigious academic institution that ranks among the top in both Korea and abroad based on multiple indicators and performance evaluations.
The College of Pharmacy promises to continue its quest for growth and develop in the future.
Hanyang Pharmacy’s pharmacy education, which is renowned for its comprehensive pharmacy major with outstanding theory and practical courses under the “2+4 year academic system,” now has a “integrated 6-year academic system,” a change that could help it solidify its position as the best pharmaceutical program in the country.
The college wants to offer not only theoretical and practical training in the traditional sense, but also provide △“human-focused pharmacy education” that focuses on humanistic qualities pharmacists need in order to become leaders in the pharmacy community, the pharmaceutical industry, and even society, △artificial intelligence and big data education combined with the traditional Hanyang Technological University infrastructure to cultivate the qualities of pharmacy professionals who can lead the way in Industry 4.0, and △IC-PBL (Industry Coupled-Problem Based Learning) education that instills practical problem-solving skills to solve societal problems
Furthermore, the college is hoping to boost its influence in society and academia by upgrading its graduate programs in addition to undergraduate programs.
