Department of Artificial Intelligence
Defining artificial intelligence in one word may well be impossible, but if we were to summarize it in one sentence, it could be “a machine or computer with intelligence that can think and act similarly to humans.”
In order to make computers think and act similarly to humans, we need to research the structure and operating principles of the human brain, the process by which humans learn, and technologies that enable computers to mimic learning methods similar to the way human brains do.
The Department of Artificial Intelligence aims to develop individuals who can change the future by properly understanding and developing artificial intelligence technology. It provides artificial intelligence-related mathematics education such as probability and statistics, computer system-related education to help understand the structure and principles of computers, various programming education for software development, education to teach data collection/analysis/visualization, and it also provides a very systematic curriculum for each grade, including advanced artificial intelligence education such as machine learning, deep learning, reinforcement learning, and optimization.
Moreover, in order to offer the best curriculum, the department is equipped with the best educational infrastructure, including cutting-edge classrooms, dedicated labs, space for creative collaborations (e.g. SOFTWARE FACTORY), and the nation's most advanced artificial intelligence-driven supercomputer.
The department is ready to support creative students willing to take on new challenges who dream of founding the DeepMind of Korea using the infrastructure and support programs available for future startups.
