Unlike most academic departments in Korea specializing in the Chinese language and literature, most of which focus solely on language and literature, the Department of Chinese Studies at Hanyang University's ERICA Campus offers a practical curriculum that encompasses all areas of Chinese studies, such as Chinese ideology, history, culture, politics, economy, society, and commerce, in addition to the language itself. The ultimate goal is to produce regional experts on China (Chinese regional studies and commerce) capable of contributing to Korean society in the future.
