Department of English Language and Culture
For practical language education, the department offers courses on English conversation, English in audio-visual media, and practical English as well as interpretation and translation courses that are tailored to the preferences of younger generations who are more in tune with digital and media culture. These programs take new cultural aspects and technology into account when designing language courses on English phonetics and the fundamentals of English studies. Moreover, the department continues to teach students so that they can understand American novels and English/American plays in different forms of media available to us today.
Meanwhile, courses on the background and history of English culture help students gain significant insight into the culture behind the language they are learning. In addition, to help passionate students blaze their own trail, faculty members who are active in the academic world work together with students to help prepare for their future.
