The department boast an illustrious history - it was the first of its kind opened in Korea (1989) to establish advertising and public relations, both of which enjoy significant academic interest and popularity (as a career choice) in developed countries, as disciplines in Korea. Today, the department is widely recognized as the cradle of nurturing the best advertising and public relations experts in the country.
In recognition of the above, the Department of Advertising and Public Relations has been designated as one of only seven “Rainbow Departments,” specialty departments, at the ERICA Campus. This means the first successful applicant within the regular/rolling admissions window is entitled to a scholarship of KRW 1 million per semester to cover tuition.
